dead pedal

Hi all, Is it just me, or is the dead pedal(Cooper S, but I assume they're all the same) too far back? I have to really reach to get to the dead pedal from the clutch. I'm sitting comfortably from the wheel, so I think it's the actual distance between the clutch and the footrest. What do you all think?

I felt the same way when I first got my car. I was trying to figure out a way to raise the dead pedal to the same height as the clutch without it looking like a cobjob. It would also have to be easily removable because it would block access to the fuse panel. I never did think of a good way to do it, and in the meantime I got used to the dead pedal where it is.

The dead pedal seems fine for me, I like to stretch my left leg out because of a knee problem. Maybe our cars differ, or that driving styles do.

Its a shame they didnt switch sides of the fusebox, and only the steering column when converting to LHD.

I just searched "dead pedal" to see if anyone thought the pedal was too far back, and lo & behold, here you are. I feel much better when my left foot rests higher up, and the dead pedals on both the mitsubishi eclipse and the Audi TT are much higher, and better, IMHO.

I will be checking with Turner motorsports. If anyone has checked elsewhere, let us know.
