Offline | I am about 3 weeks short of 2 full years of ownership on my Cooper S, with about 26K miles on the car. So I know I don't have the most miles!  Still, I may have one of the more traveled MINIs, been to 15 different states in a couple of big road trips. + 2002 MINI Cooper S - Dark Silver / White roof, Sport, Premium, Lapis blue leather + 1965 Mini Traveller - Tartan Red / White roof, 1275, Cooper S discs, fully restored/renewed |

He picked up his MCS on 7/29/2002, so the car is only 22 months old. This fella drives an average of 4,100 miles per month since he got the car. This should put to rest the constant criticism of naysayers about the long term quality and durability of this car. the owner of this MCS will take his car again on a roadtrip to the American West from Florida (3,000 miles one way) and back this coming June. Offline | 100,000 is a MAJOR milestone for ANY type of car, MINI's included... typically at 100k, parts need replacing, parts can wear out (or will soon be wearing out, hence manufacturer suggestions on replacing certain parts at certain mileages), not to say that most cars can't make it way above and beyond 100k, IF they are being taken care of properly and IF they get the needed part replacements, etc... |

At the rate I drive per day, I am looking at clocking about 21,000 a year on my MC and that is not counting ANY driving for pleasure, running errands, weekend trips, etc... I hate having to drive so far every day to work, but you gotta do it, you might as well do it in a MINI... Hey, I kinda like that phrase...  |
