MINI2

well, I'm on day 2 of a whirlwind Europe trip...started Monday in the UK, flew to Dusseldorf, and now Paris.

In Dusseldorf, saw quite a few MINIs.

But today, in Paris, I was astonished at the high number of Minis that I'm seeing -- new MINIs are well represented as well, but to be honest, it's almost as if I'm seeing more Minis here than in the UK. Some of these are old i.e. they have the door hinges on the outside (I know that's old, but don't know the exact era). Lots of "convertibles" w/ the retractable fabric roof too.

Anyone know if Paris/France was a big market for the Mini over the years? it's obviously a great city car here....but I also don't recall seeing a lot of participation here and over at NAM from our friends in France.

Wow. How exciting. Hope you have a wonderful time. You must keep us posted as to where you go on your trip. How long do you plan to be in Europe?

On a recent trip to Ireland for the Mizen to Malin Mini/MINI run there were at least 70 classics to our 15 or so new Minis. The classics are incredible. All shapes, colors and sizes. So great to see them all in one place.

Ah Ruthie, I wish it was a vacay

Woke up this AM to see the Eiffel tower out my hotel balcony and the Louvre...but am going back to the UK tonite and head home either Thu nite or Fri AM..sure wish I could spend more time here...but my wife'd kill me
