Having just returned from my brother-in-law's wedding in Jersey, Channel Islands.

I couldn't resist posting these pics of our hire car.........I had a choice of a MINI or this.........sorry I had to go the nostalgic route. One of the last, and had only done 3.5k miles.....!!!

We did two full circuits of the island over two days, covering 200 miles (on an island 9 miles long by 5 miles wide), as well as using it for ferrying us, the in-laws and all of our luggage from our first hotel to our second hotel.

It did take us three round trips to do it though!

The looks we got driving down the jetty at Greve de Lecq were something.

We also had an old guy taking photos of it at Bonne Nuit bay too........I was sorry to see it go back to the rental company.......in fact I nearly made the guy an offer for it........oh well there's always next time eh???

Best sixty quid I've ever spent!

Like the colour, and it looks immaculate. Which rental firm Robert? Or is there only one?

A company called Sovereign Cars in St Helier......when I returned it (grudgingly) the guy said he used to have 10 of the things, but every winter he sells some off to make way for new stock.

He's currenlty got a MCS convertible on order.......I'll bag that next time round!

Yep weather was fab......wall to wall sun for the five days we were there........plus the open roof on the Mini made it that much better......even wifey didn't complain about a messed up hairdo.....although she did about the ride quality........hahahahaha
