Did anyone read the news that testing at the nurburgring was underway for the car designed by the M (motorsport) division of BMW. 220bhp from a tuned cooperS powerplant.

I expect prices to be 25k or so at a guess.

i dunno, 220hp, i think in a couple of years or so we could more than likely do that ourselves
bigger bore on supercharger, smaller pulley, yadda yadda

220's not that impressive - hope that's not all they're going to do to it to qualify it as an 'M'. BBR or Hartge would cost a lot less for more hp, if that's all you're going to get. Presumably a lot more will go into it than that.

BMW won't mix the brands like that - that's why they have now given the go ahead for all the new JCW stuff out and coming out shortly.

That will never happen , MINI is a separate brand , no association with M power , historical links are with ' Cooper ' and ' works ' the marketing guys have recognized it and therefore I think a continuation with JCW is all we will See officially .

Probably a Cooper (really want an S though) Jet black with black roof (w/ custom pearl clear coat over custom metallic-in-clear bonnet stripes)only noticable if you look real hard for the stripes... Premium Pkg Sport Pkg w/ Sport's Suspension Cold Weather Pkg (wait until sept / oct build to get heated windshield)
