For me, the biggest disappointment with the mini is that the seats are appalling (Mine are ½ leather sports seats, btw):

1)The mechanism jams
2)They don’t always return to the correct position
3)They’re as comfortable as church pews
4)The plastic back panel is very poor quality (mine are already scratched to buggery)
5)and last but not least, they squeak!!

I hope I never have to meet incompetent(s) in Rover/BMW who designed/sourced these seats ‘cos my anger could very easily turn to violence. It’s particularly annoying considering I’ve paid a 600 quid premium for them.

Could somebody please recommend a supplier/manufacturer of quality aftermarket replacement seats?

Appalling would be a good word for these seats,awful would be another.I don't own a MINI yet,and these seats might keep me from buying one.The best aftermarket seat maker out there is Recaro.If I can buy a set of Recaro seat's for the MINI,there might be a new MINI Cooper in my future.
