difficult to see what has changed apart from the light placement & the more pronounced bumper. good capture though

front looks more rounded i agree, bonnet appears shorter and stubbier. im not sure but the rear window looks smaller (perhaps its the video angle) anyway a nice snooping vid anyway...

It looks like it may end up looking more "mini" like if they do raise the bonnet profile like that (for the new engine).

Think the wider might be an illusion with the new bonnet profile and lights pushed lower and further out.

As with the old mini, the Mk I is the most sought after and the priciest, the Mk2 is valuable too, but this brought a squared off grille and larger tail lights... I wonder if the tail lights on the new mini MK 2 are bigger... the grille is different for sure

nice one Paul

profile with the bigger bonnet looks more like the current MCS, much more like the original mini

The only problem I have is knowing which one to drive?

That's exactly what Abi said when she first saw the video.

Have they removed the air intake from the bonnet and replaced it with a beefy front end?

the MINI has gone...

I think the car in the video was a Cooper

Maybe this is the face of things to come... (pic attached)

Cool Spy!
What is the BMW/PSA "Prince" engine? Bigger? More HP? 6 Cyl.?

It doesn't look much different to the current model - hardly different enough to be labelled Mk2 (or Mk 5 if you include classic?) I thought the higher bonnet would be due to new legislation regarding the increased gap between the engine and the bonnet to protect pedestrians in collisions rather than anything else.

Sometime I wonder if the 3-door hatchback and convertible will remain on the current chassis and a new 5-door hatch back and other new larger and more expensive variations will be built on the BMW 1-series and be RWD with an AWD option.
