| Wolves Did It! | courtesey car got a '04 build cooper today as a courtesey car while my Dec '02 build cooper is in for its first inspection service & its interesting to note the differences between the two, both in spec & build. Firstly, this courtesey car doesn't have the Chilli pack so no sports seats. by comparison the standard seats feel really flat & unsupportive. I also didnt realise its only the sports seats that come with adjustable lumbar support. It does have the computer option though & i really like it. The instantaneous mpg readout really makes you notice the effect of your right foot & spinning the engine in a high gear unecessarily. The range (amount of miles you've got left in the tank) is a good feature too. i'm glad they're making the computer standard fit on the new car. In terms of build differences the power sterring whine is much less noticable in this car, they've obviously worked to improve it. Also the clutch is much lighter than mine - i don't know if this is becuase its a brand new car with only 300 miles on the clock or whether this is an actual change but theres definately a difference to my car with 25,000 miles on it. this car is pure silver all over which has actually grown on me as a colour choice - its very much a traditional 60's colour. just a shame there are so many other silver cars out there |

| AWOL | I must admit that I love the range function in the OBC, although mines the old spec so I dont get the instant MPG and speed functions.... I do like the PS too... and after a seeing a picture of a PS with aero kit and colour coded arches and grill the other day I rate it as my next colour if I swap... cant see me doing that for a while though !... |

Offline | So does the facelift model come with the obc as standard then? I don't even know what my new car will have as standard equipment While I'm at it. The new 3 spoke steering wheel, is it going to be standard or an option? Will I get the 3 spoke or old 2 spoke on my new fairly basic cooper (august build)? Anyone know ![]() |

| Wolves Did It! | i'm pretty sure the OBC is going to be standard across the board on the '05 cars. Not sure about the 3 spoke wheel, opinions seem to vary at the mo. one things for sure, if your car is one of the first '05 cars it could get just about anything put on it ![]() |
