What would you say if you had 7 seconds to convince someone to buy a MINI?

I had my 7 seconds' of MINI-related fame today. One of the local radio stations entered a bet for one of its personalities -- that person would get a car free for a year if he lost 40 pounds in 4 months. Well, apparently he did it. He thought he wanted a big SUV, but he's getting teased for not being able to drive the one he's borrowing now. So, the DJs asked listeners to call in if they really like their car, so as to "sell" this guy on that car.

How could I resist? So of course I called in (and only women called in -- interesting...). I was preceded by 2 women SUV owners (ugh) and then a woman driving an RX-8 (OK) and a woman driving a Z4 (like that one...). I was quite the proud MCS owner, and when my turn came, I just gushed about how fun it is to drive, etc. And, given this guy's size (still at 230), I commented about how it's plenty big inside. I received "ooohs" and "aaahhs," but wasn't on the radio very long... dang, I was just getting started!

So, what would YOU say?

It is fun to drive
It has a model to suit everyone
Lots of accessories, colours, trims and aftermarket parts to choose from
Lastly, you can join in the fun of being a big global/multi-national MINI community like MINI2

My wife's friend was over and was asked "what is so special about this stupid car?!?!" I told her "you just have to experience it for yourself." Her response "ITS HOW MUCH!? Your crazy for spending that kinda of money for a little car!" I replied "Well, then be gald that its not your $."
For those non-MINI kinda people, I am kind of getting sick and tired when somebody tells me "your nuts" or "crazy" or "stupid" or "too much", whatever. I don't tell you how to spend your money, so don't tell me how to spend mine.
UG! Non-believers, what can you do.

MINIBAT -- I take it you're not gonna offer her a ride...

Most of my friends and family love my MINI, but my OWN MOTHER (yes, an SUV driver) refers to it as "that squat little car," and keeps urging me to "be careful" when it rains. Sheesh. No rides for her either!
