I have read with interest all the messages regarding the forthcoming 2005 model updates and am surprised. When my wife went in to order a Mini Cooper back in mid May the first thing the dealer ( Specialist Cars of Luton ) announced before taking a test drive were all the expected changes and when they would be effective from.
In fact, before placing the order he actually confirmed that it would be the new model!!!! several times.
An expected delivery date of mid to end of July was given on placing the order and reconfirmed this week.
It is obvious that some dealers are more in tune with whats going on. I can therefore recommend the help and advice received from this dealer!!!!!

With my skeptic hat on, dealers are happy to promote the changes when they know their orders will be the new model.

This was not the case at the time the changes were announced!

That said, I knew more than my dealers, and I've been researching it for months since
