Offline | I'm assuming the 16" 5-stars come with the runflat tyres? - so the ride will be slightly harsher; also with larger diameter alloys - overall the wheels will be stiffer - but how this is noticed in terms of handling will depend on how hard the car is driven. I never compared them side by side on the standard suspension. The 16" 5-stars look great but are heavier. ![]() |

Offline | I noticed a big difference from my standard 16" X-lites to the 17" R90s. Little more 'nervous' in a sense that you feel every little bump or undulation in the road through the steering wheel. If its got runflats, it will be harsher, and yes, probably noisier over conventional tyres. - Global Moderator - MY BLOG - Global Procrastinator - ![]() ... Offline | I have the 5 spoke 15" (winter) and the Star 16" (summer - runflat), here are the changes: 1. Noticable harsher ride 2. Loosing a little feel through the wheel 3. heavier steering (which is nice) 4. Car feels heavier (which can be/ can be not) 5. Turn-in not as sharp 6. But generates much needed grip! (the 15" winters just don't have nearly enough for my driving...) 7. Slower acceleration (much heavier wheels). 8. Looks A LOT better IMO. |
