Mini riding bikers...

In another slightly arguey thread it occured to me that a lot of Mini owners are also bikers. I guess the community aspect of both is similar...

...so come on boys and girls, what you riding?

Mines an 01 RSV Mille.... A bit quicker than the MCS!

A Triumph Daytona 1200. I got it new in '98 and then, about a week later, found that Eeyore was expecting Roo! Because of this the Daytona has only done 7000 miles in the last 6 years and it is really just waiting for Roo to be old enough to go out on the pillion seat.

Problem is, when I got the Daytona I couldn't bear to be parted from the old one. So I still have the Triumph Sprint 900 as well!

Going to have to have a clear out soon....

I used to have a Yammi thundercat, very nice bike and then went for a honda VFR 800, exellent touring bike, but now i have nothing due to an injury, but thats another story....

So i am waiting for my MCS to be made, to get back into the fun factor

As for the community thing, well yes it is the same and i do still have a lot of mates who were bikers and i do a lot of race meets as a marshall, you meet a lot of interesting people

Billy

I used to have a CBR900 Fireblade upto 1997/98 -- Until I had an accident with someone's porch!

Also owned a Kawasaki GPZ600R and a Honda CBR1000

Now sadly don't own one at all, just have to make do with the car
Wish I did but the wife won't let me have a bike

Had several BM's.

Last was a R100GS. Did a lot of mountains including the Stella Alpina Rally, the Alps, Picos, Dolomites

My MCS is as much fun - just in a different way.

Dont miss getting wet, hot, cold

I'm an off-road guy myself. Born and raised on motorcycles and racing since I was 5 years old. Had to give it up when I got married though. Been planning to buy a new bike since getting divorced but the MINI ended up coming first (More practical? )

My Dad still races - at the tender age of 71!! They're really demonstration races for pre-65 bikes but the old guys still give it some. I'll be over to watch him ride in Marks Tey in Essex on August 8th.

I have a 99 Suzuki Katana 600. It’s my first bike and I’ve only been riding for a little over a year. Don’t get to ride it much lately; about two days a month. I absolutely love it but I wish I had more time to ride.
