Question Help - seat backs keep popping off!

I'm on my second set of seat backs in the five months I've had Verde. Initially the service department fixed the originals, but my service rep didn't like how they turned out - so he ordered new ones. Got the new ones about five or six weeks ago.

Over the past weekend I was motoring and noticed the Px seat back had popped off - and no one had been in that seat for at least a week (except for my 50 pound lab). I tried pushing/tapping it back on to no avail. And the worst part is it makes my Mini look so crappy! It looks like a cheap, badly made... (dare I use the word?)... a CAR! Blah!

My Dx seat back is fine, it's just the darn Px at this point. Ugh. Guess it's time for another trip to the service department. My check engine light has begun to come on again so there are two reasons to be without Verde for a day or so.

Anyone else experience the seat back issue?

P.S. Forgive me if this has been covered before - still new and not sure how to use the "search" feature.

Clarify PLZ

Is "Verde" a MC or a MCS?

I think you may be just unlucky. I had the same problem too and had the seat back replaced on the passenger seat. Fingers crossed, it has been OK since.

Me too - passenger side only. Mini only doing seat backs with nets now so also had the drivers seat done to match - under warranty.

Hmm... could be! Mine is still hanging off - it's worse than the original issue, too. I pushed the Px seat all the way back so that the seat back is pushed up by the back seat. It'll have to do for now.

Well right now only the center side clip is whats hanging off of my passenger seat. So its not too bad yet. I am going to call the dealership in a bit, but this would be an odd problem if it just affects the 04's, but if thats the worst of the problems I would much rather have this.

I have my appointment for Thursday so they can sort it out, and see what parts need ordered. I am glad this post was up, cause I thought I dont want to be the first and only one with this problem. I tried looking at mine with out disturbing the side of the seat that is still connected and I cant seem to figure out what exactly is wrong, but thats what a warrenty is for. Well I'll let you know what the doctor says on Thursday. Thanks all
