Who owns a MINI + Triumph Spitfire?

Hi. long time lurker, first time poster.

Seems to be a significant amount of MINI and Triumph Spitfire owners here. Red 03 MC + Inca Yellow '79 Spitfire here. Haven't had much time to drive it due to bad weather in the twin cities and lack of time(have a house now).

And with the rubber bumpers, the Spitfire seems just a few inches longer than the MINI. I like how both of them have metal rocker panels.

I had a 79 Spitfire, but it's long gone. It was my favorite car before the MINI.

Had a '79 Brooklands Green Spitfire 1500 (with O/D) until about 3 years ago. Owned it for nearly 10 years.

I have a '64 Austin Healey Sprite MK2A that shares the garage with my '03 MINI Cooper. Does that count?

I used to have a rubber-bumper '79 MG Midget (w/ a 1500 spitfire engine). Now have a chrome bumper '74 MG Midget (w/ a non-spitfire engine) sharing the garage w/ the 2002 Cooper.

My first car was a '67 Mk. III. In spite of that, I'm still a fan of British cars. I do consider the MINI a British car, and always have a weird feeling when people talk about it as if it is German. Maybe across the pond, people are more conscious of the German influence, but it's built in jolly olde, so it's a Brit.
