England Yellow Mini --> Yellow Key ??

Why dont mini do this??

If you buy a yellow mini you get a yellow key (where the plastic is black) and so on.

its just another trick idea that would make them further apart from the crowd and give more exclusivity to the mini and the owners.

Might be a bit of a security risk if someone gets hold of your key who shouldn't
MINI key, yellow. Which car does it start in the car park?

simple and boring answer is cost and sequencing problems at the factory, nice idea though.

Would have been a great idea. Security wouldn't be an issue for me - MINI key, which MINI, oh there's only 1!

Only thing i wish they would do with the key is make it like audi / vw and merc a class key. The fold away flick knife style It does much less damage in your pocket
That type of key feels a bit more special

Fiat also do the Flick knife style keys. Friend of mine has one for his Stilo.

I'd much prefer to have the nice card that opens the door for you and enables a start button.

Alfa and Range Rover keys were flick knife style too, i really hoped they were going to do that with the MINI, pity they didn't really.
