Offline | Collect Car On Saturday: Help After being on the waiting list for 2 yrs, i was finally told today that i can pick up my car next saturday, 10th July. (after a 2 week delay) So that i do manage to drive out of the showroom, does anyone have any advice so that it goes smoothly. I would be gutted not to take it with me. Should i pay in advance? This is the first ever new car i have had. ALL advice welcome. (i plan to go on the London Bridges run the next day.) TOP OFF AT LAST. (Everybody be cool, you, be cool.) Offline | This has been covered in the forums previously and I think there is a FAQ on it too. I wouldn't pay early but if you are worried check with the sales people and tell them what you had planned to do and if they foresee any problems. The whole operation does take some time as you should be shown all the controls before you set off. I was so excited I gave them the wrong card (I was paying part of it by credit card as the loan rate on the card was far cheaper than the loan rate from BMW.) Anyway you have waited 2 years. This is something to savour.. Take your time and enjoy yourself. I kept nipping out to take photos of the car while the salesman was completing the details. You WILL smile like an idiot all the way home but that is the MINI experience morrisminiminor |

Offline | Paying by Switch is the only guaranteed way that you can pay and drive off in your car the same day. Either that of to be using the dealer's fianance that has been signed for and approved in advance. Good luck and please post some pics. 2 years is a loooooooong wait! Red/Black R56 Cooper |
