MINI2

I'm here in Tokyo for a week and have spotted two MINIs so far, along with three Minis. Not too many, more BMWs than MINIs

Yesterday (Sat) spotted a BRG/W in the area of Tokyo Tower. Then, today (Sun) spotted a LY/W in the area of Shibaya Station. Saw a BRG classic going the opposite way of the LY, too quick to get a pic

Odd tho', I would have thought Tokyo would have more MINIs and mini-cars as it's so crowded (13m people) but there are plenty of full-size cars here....you go to London and other Euro cities and there are plenty of Swatch cars, etc.

I was living in Tokyo for almost 12 years and am not surprised that there are not that many MINIs in Japan. The tax for import cars is insane!! By the way, there are so many other K-car choices from the local manufacturers.

yeah, there are some neat small ones here...down in Osaka today, saw a black MINI, which I thought was an "unlucky" color in Japan...all the taxis are black but not too many private cars, eh?

well, on the way back into Tokyo from Haneda airport today, went right by a gold MCS. Due to the pathetic point & shoot, I couldn't get a better pic in time after we passed. And, then just before we left the roadway, I looked back and saw a CR/W.
