currently on order for '05 mcs:
dark silver/white roof

thinking about changing it to:
dark silver/black roof with bonnet stripes

This is perfectly normal behaviour and shouldn't be fought. In a few days time you will
start thinking about dark silver all over and viper stripes bonnet/roof/boot. The worst
think you can do is ask the forum for help as you will now get a different opinion in
every reply further muddying up the waters

I couldn't decide either on the Dark Silver combo. I at first ruled out white because it makes the mini look too cartooney, so I wanted black. After seening a blackroof and a dark silver roof at the dealer when ordering I changed my mind last minute to the dark silver roof.

I think that a body color roof, while isn't with cooper tradition, looks classier on the dark silver. But i'm probably going to ruin that classy look with a silver stripe over it.

Over the next few weeks I kept wondering if I made the right decision, until my order went in to production and it was too late. Truth is I would of been happy with any color roof on my mini.

It's something only you can decide, but to help you, use the user search to find everyone with dark silver cooper's with a gallery.

If your ordering Dark silver then the roof HAS to be either Dark Silver or Black NOT white!

Dark silver does come in white roof. It is the pure silver (available only on MC) that does not have the option of the white roof.

Any silver has to have a BLACK or BODY colour roof, white just does look right. If you want a WHITE roof I would sugest changing the body colour to BlACK or CHILI RED or INDY BLUE. Then the colour contrast would look right.

I nearly went RB but didnt
Did see a black cooper with a silver roof the other day now that was nice.

Thanks Shaun. I think I'm going to stick with my original colour combination of DSW. Though you'll have to talk me into the bonnet stripes.
