I'm on a waiting list at a BMW dealer that wants to sell Minis, but maybe I should hedge my bets by talking to some other dealers as well.

If you goto www.miniusa.com and check out the Dealer Locator under Info it shows and proposed layout of where in the states(in particular which bmw dealerships) will sell the new mini.
