According to a recent article in a UK magazine part of Daimler Chrysler’s global cost-cutting measures could include backing out of the engine making joint venture in Brazil with BMW.

Does anyone have any more info. on this? If this is the case I'm sure the July launch date in the UK will be more than optimistic...

I've finally been able to reproduce an article regarding this situation in the news section, dated 1st Feb.

I've not heard anything since then, don't know if anyone else has?
