There's an auction on eBay for a 1/18 scale MINI Cooper by Solido.

Anybody know of a US retailer selling these? I'd like to have one to make the wait for the real thing a little easier!

Corgi have 3 new MINI Cooper diecast models which will be available from May/June 2001. Check out their website:

There is no mention of new MINI on the Corgi US website. This US Corgi dealer may have further info:

Revell is to have a new MINI out in March according to their website. Then they changed the date to April. This is a plastic model you put together! Triple C is taking orders on the Corgi right now!

I was on vacation (holiday) with the family in San Diego this weekend. Went to a mall and saw a kiosk with small, battery powered cars running around on a plastic track. Looked like a poor man's slot car set-up! Cost was $19.95 for the starter package. Upon closer examination I noted the car was a red Mini with a white roof. On closer look it was a NEW MINI! Looks as if the international community (China, etc) is already copying the world's most popular car shape!I did not buy one however!
