Offline | Good news people! MINI2 has been given a chance to put your questions to Frank Stephenson in an exclusive email interview. One question per registered forum user can be submitted, and we will collate and send these to Frank Stephenson. Bad news is we've set limit of 10 questions max, so you'd better get in quick! Full details in our news section, including the email for question submissions. Thanks everyone, without your early support this probably wouldn't have happened! }:O |

Offline | I'm just a Junior member but I would prefer if the questions were submitted to this forum so the members know which questions have already been asked. Unless of course you're only going to ask the most 'popular' questions, F.A.Q. style. thanks for the website! |

Offline | I want torque figures if you can. That would be great! hp numbers mean less to me than torque... Larry from Endyn says the following about hp... "Whenever anyone says anything about hp, I think at what rpm? My (Larry's) definition of rpm is Ruins Peoples Motors" For more of Larry's infinate wisdow, check out http://www.theoldone.com/ Everyone that likes cars should read through his faq. That is the most knowledgable board when it comes to technical stuff that I have found on the web. Thanks, -Dave (I want torque numbers) |

Offline | Any truth (heard it from somebody at the Gaydon test track) that kingpins and CV joints are failing at 5,000 miles on the "S" because BMW has cheapened the Rover design on kingpins and gone against GKNs recommendations on an 11 spline CV joint instead of a seven? ken |

Offline | Just curious.... have questions made their way to Frank Stephenson yet? Will you be posting the questions for general viewing before the responses are received from Stephenson? |

Offline | The questions went a couple of weeks back now I think, but no reply yet. I may have to chase it up, but I am sure Frank Stephenson is pretty busy, which is why it was done this way. The questions can sit in his 'in box' until he has time to answer. B) |

Offline | I have emailed Frank Stephenson, and he is busy, but also looking forward to seeing how the worlds press will raact to driving the new MINI. He has the questions, and should have the responses back to us by the end of this week, or the middle of next week. |

Offline | I had just put deposit for a Cooper automatic when I heard rumours about the 'sequential shift' feature of the automatic transmission (although 'steptonic' is mentioned in the specifications) If possible can you clarify whether there is difference between Copper's steptonic transmission and other BMWs' steptonic transmissions? Thank you very much. |

Offline | They've been a long time coming, but most (not all 10 I'm afraid) of your questions have been answered, and are now in the latest news story. Frank personally apologised for the delay in repsonse, and also for not answering some the questions which where not directly design related. |
