Latest from the UK:

AUTOCAR, the well respected UK weekly magazine, have announced that they will publish a MINI Cooper roadtest in next Wednesday`s Issue, 23 May! ! !

This information comes from Gemma Kent of Haymarket Motoring Publications. No doubt tomorrow`s Issue will confirm this.

Yup, there is a press 'curfew' untill the 23rd when all details from the press launch can be published. I imagine Auto Express will also have a review, and most likely 4car.co.uk. We will reproduce what we have permission to on this site, as well as hopefully have some of our own exclusive content.

So, just where does that Press timing agreement thingy leave Car Magazine and its "World Exclusive Road Test" last week?

Come to think about it . . . "World Exclusive" is about right . . . it`s only the "Road Test" bit that was maybe a bit suspect . . . half right then!

My mate Chris from New Zealand was on a bus in Oxford Street, London on Wednesday and they were being held up by a photo shoot with the new MINI Cooper. He said it looked superb - be interesting to see which magazine this was.

Did anyone see the World Exclusive (!!) in Auto Express a few weeks ago ?? They had a good look around all the workings inside & out. They seemed suitably immpressed but were still not allowed to take it out on the road. I can't wait to get a drive of one.
