Offline | I`ve heard that BMW Dealers require more money up-front at placement of final order! Just wondered what other MINI2ers have been asked to hand over, bearing in mind the vague delivery dates flying about? |

Offline | Seems that payment of £1000 is the generally accepted Deposit required to secure final MINI Order in the UK (includes any initial holding monies already paid). Our overseas friends have a little longer to wait, but do they have a similar arrangement with their Dealers? Hello! . . . anyone out there? |

Offline | My local dealer haven't said anything about any extra money wanted, but it wouldn't surprise me if they did ask and I'll be prepared for that now... I signed an initial order back in April with a £250 deposit, and a couple of weeks ago I signed a form with the options I wanted, although this isn't final as at the time they didn't have confirmed options prices. I will have to get back in touch with them as I think the list of options we've got on this list are final now (yay or nay?). I'm still on for late august / early september delivery -any idea when the car will actually be built in Oxford, is it like 6 weeks before or something? |

Offline | In case you missed it, I saw that DiamondGeezer has finalised his Cooper order (see post) with details of deposit, expected delivery etc! (By the way Gary- that e-mail sent in error, it was supposed to go to "mazmann"! Similar eh? I just messed up and failed to notice! Doh!) 8)7 |

Offline | I think BMW would frown on US dealers taking deposits until they sign their MINI franchise agreements and become "official". However, there are some dealers (they shall remain nameless) who are taking deposits from those on their wait lists. I'd say the going rate is $500. |

Offline | I have just placed my order for an August build. Paid a £500 deposit to Victoria BMW (M-K) in late April. I was the 5th in line by then. They have not asked for any additional dosh until delivery. Their Mini rep is really struggling with lack of info from H.Q., but the "Intranet" site is helpful. |
