| Damned | I personally think that if someone was to be of criminal mind, who wanted to clone a car, then the last type of plate they would choose would be one that drew attention to itself. You find that owners of personal plates, (myself included), are often proud of their plate and rarely Blank it out form any pics, although I always make a point of blanking out others I may post. ![]() In da Wud |

Offline | PKT RKT Of course it should be noted that the REALLY cool personalized plates are the UK ones as one cannot order up what one wants as one does in the USA, rather one must be pretty clever with number and letter combinations......Minispeed's S goes with 500 COO (I think) which is pretty awesome..... |

Offline | When I moved to the UK, I was serioulsy non-plussed while reading the automotive classified ads in the Times of London, there was this section that was (is) titled REGISTRATIONS, and it had these ads with a combination of letters/numbers and a price. Given some of the prices, I thought they were selling CARS (of course my thought was "bloody Brits only they can think in terms of selling cars by just listing the plate number )......came to find out...they were just selling the NUMBERS!!! |

Offline | And in the UK, the less numbers/letters you want on your plate, the more expensive it becomes...... eg. 1 A - Sold for about £200,000 a few years back D1 ANA - Sold for about £150,000 1 AM - Sold for about £60,000 (seen it on a F355 in North London) You can get ABC 1843 ....etc for about £1000 Other more "normal" looking plates start at £250... Only if they have been registered (eg rude ones are not available) and only if no one else in the country has got it. In the USA, each state is different and Florida can have MINI1 and California can also have MINI1. |
