I work for Essex County Council and they currently own the number plates F1 & 1F, the plates are currently on 2 Volvos. Previously they were on 2 Ford Scorpio's.

Personally I've always fancied the F1 plate, it's probably the most valuable plate in the country.

In case your interested in how they got them I believe they were the first plates issued in Essex, when the local council issued plates(i guess they kept them for themselves).

When I worked for West Sussex COunty Council, my boss told me that he could have had BPO 1L ("BP Oil" innit ) because he knew somebody in the car registrations dept. I turned out that he didn't buy a new car that year, and missed out on the chance to make a mint.

Hi all!

In Germany the first two letters are the area code, which you cannot choose. Then you can choose the following 1 to 3 letters and the a to 4 following numbers.

In my case:

HN - II 181 whereas the two II are in the middle of the car and that looks really good.

My dad has on his X5:
LB - BO 55 ... BOSS ;-) which looks better.

At Gatwick Airport there used to be a greasy spoon by the cargo sheds where the truckers (and most of the airport workers) went for a greasy egg and bacon sandwich. It was called Fat Boys and the guy that owned it had FAT 80Y on his car.

Wot Midlife crisis???

There is a car in my area, think its a Toyota car worth bugger all but plate is H1, how much must that be worth?

Have looked at plates for my new MSC and thought about
D666 MCS

If horse racing is the sport of Kings, should drag racing be the sport of Queens?
