Offline | I work for Essex County Council and they currently own the number plates F1 & 1F, the plates are currently on 2 Volvos. Previously they were on 2 Ford Scorpio's. Personally I've always fancied the F1 plate, it's probably the most valuable plate in the country. In case your interested in how they got them I believe they were the first plates issued in Essex, when the local council issued plates(i guess they kept them for themselves). |

Offline | When I worked for West Sussex COunty Council, my boss told me that he could have had BPO 1L ("BP Oil" innit ) because he knew somebody in the car registrations dept. I turned out that he didn't buy a new car that year, and missed out on the chance to make a mint. |

| MINI2 Newbie | Hi all! In Germany the first two letters are the area code, which you cannot choose. Then you can choose the following 1 to 3 letters and the a to 4 following numbers. In my case: HN - II 181 whereas the two II are in the middle of the car and that looks really good. My dad has on his X5: LB - BO 55 ... BOSS ;-) which looks better. Phil |

Offline | At Gatwick Airport there used to be a greasy spoon by the cargo sheds where the truckers (and most of the airport workers) went for a greasy egg and bacon sandwich. It was called Fat Boys and the guy that owned it had FAT 80Y on his car. Wot Midlife crisis??? |
