I used to live near a mobile valet chap who had WAX1T and he also had

I must admit I absolutely hate cars with stupid number plates where they have moved the letters to ridiculous places. There is one where I live which is B_____0SSS8 or something. Which is quite irritating as you know its not legal.

Also I feel people do them and they are wrong, leet speak pretty much created using letters for words, quite a few private plates that don't read right:

Leet - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I quite like this one above "LOT 340R"

I read that as lord of the rings, which is cool, not sure what you read it as

Seen a nice one on a Range Rover Vouge which said P4Y UP.

The guy looked like a silverback gorilla (IMO) so assume he was a loan shark or something like that.

My wifes number plate say A14XYA which is meant to look like ALEXIA, but if it keeps her quiet I am very happy.

If it stays still for too long it gets painted.

I think its more sad than irritating, they usually end up looking a bit pathetic. I used to be glad that MINI owners in general didn't seem to resort to this, but that seems to have changed now.

I've mentioned before (maybe earlier in this thread - its sooo long now ) that there's a good reason for the formatting of number plates, not just the DVLA or Police being awkward, and one day you might actually benefit from it.

Recently bought my very first cherished number plate, as my name is Tom, I found relevant plates expensive to come by, but got a good deal at half the price at dvla from a seller on ebay for....

TA52 TOM

The TA52 is irrelevant, but at least the TOM is quite relevant

Just been put on my MCS today!
