When should I ring

Last week my dealer told me my car was due to them for the 22nd July (thursday)
He said it could go a couple of days either way.

I am waiting for details of the date and the registration number.

When do you think it will be OK to start hassling him?

Feline.

Call them today, you should have a registration designated already. You'll need a couple of days to recieve the insurance certificate which you need to get to them to get the road tax.
BTW I notice you're in West London, which dealer are you using???

You know them too?!

Just rang. Actually got through to someone first time!!!!

It's still on for delivery 22nd, then it'll take 5 days to PDI it. They're going to see what they can do to get it done quicker but " the workshop is very busy"

They do a late night on a Tuesday or Wednesday so I think it's likely that it'l be one of those evenings that I collect it.

Mine was due on the 22nd plus or minus a couple of days, however spoke to my dealer this morning and they have not got the paperwork through yet which is usually an indication it is likely to be late.

Plus where I'm having the aero side skirts PDI is going to take 5-7 working days....! *cries*

Could be the same for me then. My dealer is also waiting for the paper work with the registration.

Do you think they do it on purpose to be cruel?!!

I do have a question actually, what on earth are they doing which takes them 5 days? I understand that probably a mechanic needs to check it over, it needs to be cleaned and any dealer options need to be sorted (such as my aero skirts which I can understand taking a while). But 5 days even for a car without aero etc?!

Maybe someone in the know on here can give us a bit more of an insight? I'd appreciate it.

It doesn't take 5 days to PDI, half a day at most.
The dealers are just buying themselves some time.

If you push them hard they'll have your car turned around in a day. I did that with my first MCS

I do get the feeling I'm being fobbed off by them. I'm having bonnet stripes and the supagard done - that's all in the way of options.

Will ring them everyday for an update.
