6 months in - a good feel story

Had my car just over 6 months now and I am very pleased to report it has been nearly 100% trouble free, grin inducing motoring.

The only thing the car has been to the dealers for is a rattly B post (it still does slightly) and a screw on the dash was fitted the wrong way round. This is the one just above the dimmer for the instruments lighting. The bracket was fitted the wrong way at the factory and the screw was loose with a slight gap. Not rattling just didnt look right - so dealers had no hesitation on putting it right for me.

In the 6 months I have done about 6500 miles and everyone has been fun, fun ,fun. This litle car has taken me places I never would have gone to without - like the factory twice, loads of MINI2 runs etc.

So nothing has failed - the car still looks and goes like new - in fact it goes better than when new after some hard driving. The interior is unblemished and everything is hunky dorey in soopercooperland.

Would i order the same spec again? well the easy answer is yes. I was unsure about the new 3 spoke MFSW but love it now - although the 2 extra stereo control buttons would be nice. Visibility pack is great - I just love it! Alarm - thankfully not been tested - so must be doing its job. Chilli pack - love itall - especially the half leather, and can even live with the runflats. Manual AC is very good as well - wouldnt spend the extra dosh on climate and not regretting it. Clour - Chilli red/white, wasnt sure if I had ordered the best colour but budget restraints meant that metalic was out and I still think its the best flat colour. Might change next time - but I really like it now.

Finally, my decision to drop the HK and MINI ice was the best one. The Ice Mikeythemini fitted is great - i love it and I wont need to buy it all over again when I change the car in 2006 - just take it out and put in the standard unused MINI unit. (pics in my gallery)

What can I say - I love my MINI. I love MINI2 and I love the fact it inspired me to start the New MINI Severns Club!

Thanks to everyone on MINI2 and all the great new freinds here in.

I think shes still STUNNING

Paul

Happy story! My car is just 6 months old too... no problems, just drives and drives and drives... It's such an event being behind the wheel - it turns every journey into an adventure. Hooray for chilli red and white!

I'll hoot next time I pass Bristol! (damn those M5 police tho..)
