How much do they cost in GB? Here in Finland you must pay 1000euro (~660GBP, 1200USD) if you want custom plates. And there are some really poor rules like :
- The form must be in XXX-111 (letters-numbers)
- Must be at least two letters and one number, for example MC-1. Maximum is three letters and three numbers
- The first number can´t be 0

Plates in Great Britain vary hughly.
It depends on how desirable they would be.

But they go from a couple of hundred pounds to tens of thousands.

Funny - but illegal - with the 2 strtigically placed screw/screw caps.
The number plate F1 has recently been in the press for being up for grabs bet that will cost a pretty penny

Heard a story about a plate it was a One plate 3 letters and a 1 it was a football teams initials as well so highly prized. It was on a retention certificate ie not on a car at the time and would need to be renewed every 12 months. Oh yes somebody forgot and the plate went back into general circulation. Ooops!

Alot of uk private plates can still be had from the dvla for £250-£499 i got mine for £250,
