Question Question about price gouging

Whats up everyone I have a question about price gouging I want to know if there is any laws against price gouging in the state of california because I was driving down the road when I saw five mini cooper's parked at the Keyes mercedes-benz dealer in van nuys california so i stoped to take a look and maybe in to buy when I was knocked out buy the price tag. They are selling all of them as used cars with 10 miles each on the odometer at $29,600.00 each with no options except one with a sunroof but thats it nothing else even the stock 15" wheels with 7 holes and I just drove off after that so what do you think is there something against that kind of thing to stop them from making over 12000 in profit? I really wanted a mini cooper but ther is no way in hell that they are going to getm e to over MSRP for it because I would much rather buy something like that Infinit G35 that is selling like crazy and still keeping MSRP.

P.S. By the way they covineantly did not list the kelly blue book value in the book.

No, there aren't any laws against it.

How they got 5 MINIs is suspicious to me, though. Sounds like a dealer selling an allotment at inflated prices... which is fair enough, except that every dealer in California has 500+ people on their lists... so interested buyers are taking a back seat to Mercedes dealers? Slimy.

Suprised? No, not anymore.

I'll recommend you to call Long Beach MINI, they're selling at MSRP. They're also following the list, I believe, so it's a bit of a wait... but I say we reward them with our business, even if we *could* get a MINI more quickly at inflated prices.

Good luck shopping,

I stopped by Checkered Flag MINI, in Virginia Beach VA, on my way home to make a last minute change to my order. They have two MINIs on the lot, for sale at MSRP. So, for the cost of a one way plane ticket, and a cross country drive, you could have a MINI right away.

I have a May build date, for a delivery in early July, and could have had a Cooper S in early October. So, you just have to be flexible.

It looks like the bidding wars for these cars on e-bay is dying down as well. The reserves are still high, but most cars are not making the reserve. The bids are still getting up around $21,000 for a fairly stripped car, but I think it will not be long before you can get a MINI Cooper easily without paying a premium.
