Happened to have the opportunity to stop by two different MINI dealers in my area today... Got to see a Purple Haze MCS in the flesh at Mini of SF - looks gorgeous! What an awesome color. The car also had the chrome interior package, which looked excellent as well, very classy. And the new headligths rock, IMHO.

At MINI of Mountain View I got to see a couple 05's, a Cooper and two Cooper S's. One was Astro Black which looked very nice, and the other was DS/DS with chrome mirrors - very cool. It seems they pretty much ALL had the universal garage door opener, which looks cool as well, and the Astro Black had red/black seats, and the chrono pack, which looks alright in person. I'm not sure it fits the car but it's not bad.

Anyway, any of you in the Bay Area who are anxious to see some 05's, check out MINI of San Francisco and MINI of Mountain View!

Great news. I can't wait to see my baby in person (should be under 2 weeks now) !

I saw the chrono pack in person also and I have to say that in person it looks a lot better. While I did not originally like the chrono pack, it is growing on me more and more.

Actually come to think of it, I think they were delivering the Purple Haze at SF today, so they probably won't have that - but call to see what they do have.

And yes, it is my day off actually.

I only work 4 days a week for the summer - I'm in classes during the rest of the year.

While I did not originally like the chrono pack, it is growing on me more and more.
