Wotcha reading?

I thought the thread on which CD you'll listen to first was very revealing about MINI owners. Lots of good stuff . This got me thinking about other tastes we might have, obviously we've all got an excellent taste in cars.

Whilst you shouldn't read and drive, and some people can niether read or drive (Beckham), just wondered what books MINI lovers are into?

I'm currently reading Glue by Irvine Welsh, and having flashbacks to my student days in Edinburgh.

I normally like to read a good Agatha Cristie, Poirot for example. Although at the moment, I've stooped to reading the Neverending Story. Couldn't sleep a few weeks ago so I searched for a book to read. The only one that I could find, which I hadn't read recently was this. Its terrible. Really bad, but I've nearly finished it. Am making myself read a chapter every two days, just to finish it tho!

The last book I started reading was High Hopes by Billy Hopkins but then I bought a MINI and haven't read much of it
I really like Stephen King books but I've read most of them.

I have read all the Patricia Cornwell books. They are excellent.
I like Stephen King. I have read almost all his books. I read "Bag of Bones" in two days.
My son was reading the Harry Potter books, and I got into them as well..

Snow creates a chemical imbalance in most peoples brains that makes them forget how to drive.

City of Djinns by William Dalrymple, just satisfying those itchy feet, I feel a good travelling session coming on again

Nice thread idea...

I'm currently reading Bring Home the Revolution by Jonathan Freedland. It discusses the possibilities of a British republic based on the American system. Talks about how our democracy is more like an elected dictatorship e.g. A British Prime Minister today has more power than the English Monarch ever did.

Really interesting.

Potts

Edited for a typo.

Here's all I have been reading lately:

The Book of Motoring

Road & Track - issue with the yellow MINI on the cover.

Car & Driver - the ones with updates on the Cooper S and info from the car shows.

Motor Trend - the one with the First Look at the Cooper S article.

I'm waiting for for the next issues of the above magazines so I can see if the are any more MINI articles. I'm still waiting for a review on a US car.

Must admit I now spend 5 minutes browsing Car magazines every time I go the newsagents, since my test drive, looking for reviews/news on the MINI.

Planning to read Bonfire of the Vanities next, comes heartily recommended by my boss (though he's a Mondeo driver).
