2004 MINI Cooper (My current everyday car) 2004 - now
I believe that all my cars have been made in England, now there's patriotism for you
I've also partly owned the following as although they were/are registered to the missus I've paid a proportion of the cost:-
1997 Peugeot 406 1.8 Saloon 2000 - 2002
2002 Citroen Picasso (Current family run about) 2002 - now
The 2 worst cars to drive were/are the Peugeot and the Citroen, although I'll excuse the Citroen as it comes in useful when you want to move stuff about as it's like a van when you take the seats out.
The MINI Cooper is the best everyday car that I've owned and definitely the best to drive but the GT6 feels like a part of me as I've owned it for 16 years, man and boy! It's slower than the MINI, doesn't handle as well is less practical but is still a pleasure to drive and turns more heads.
1st car was a 1967 Hillman Gazelle
2nd car was a 1980 Datsun 200B (piece of dung)
3rd car was a 1992 Daihatsu Charade rally car
4th car was a 2000 Holden Astra (rebadged opel/vauxhall astra)
5th car is a 2004 MCS

83' Honda Accord (a while)
88' Acura/Honda Integra LS
98' Isuzu Troooper S (called Bighorn some other places)
04' Acura TL (my wife drives, I drive sometimes in weekends)
05' Mini Cooper S (Coming in mid Sept)
When the MCS comes, it will be my major ride, Trooper will be about once/twice a week.
1974 Ford Pinto wagon (no it didn't blow up, but neither would it go over 70 mph )
1972 Plymouth Satelite (big, floppy boat of a car with a lovely design)
1982 VW Scirocco (fun, underpowered, poor interior quality)
1986 Acura Integra (great drivetrain, but generally dull)
1990 VW Corrado G60 (high emotional value, quite competant, hard to part with )

1986~1989 - cannot remember well as because i was 3 years old when i retired from this automobile. but i'm pretty sure it had four wheels and very comfortable seat on it. I think my mom was always in the back seat though, i don't know why.
1989~1990 - very strage phase of my life. I did not have wheels to ride in this 2 years. I remember i was walking around with the help of my mom but i could never get the gist of walking by myself. It felt like i was always drunk.
1990~1994 - as i started school between this period of my life, i was inttoduced to a ride called tricycle. Mine was red and had three black wheels with white rims. God i loved that thing. I donno know what happened to it though.
1994 - i got a bicycle with trainers on em. the trainers made awful noise.
1994~2000 - i got those annoying trainers off.
2000~2003 - i was embarrased to ride bicycles in this phase as some of my friends already got their cars.
2003~2004 - MINI COOPER S!!!
Well here's my list of Australian & not so Australian cars I have owned:
1973 Datsun 180B SSS. red car for an 18 yo.me!. 4 speed manual, went like the clappers 'till I killed it, before it killed me.
1967 Holden Premier X2. 2 speed auto, bought in 1975. Was to be a restoration project. Stolen from Footscray Railway Station car park.
1978 Mazda 323 CS1.3, 4 speed manual, purchased new with factory A/C. The least economical of my 3 Mazda's. Had to travel to Queensland in it several times. Traded on new Mazda after head wind on the Hay Plains slowed me to 70 KPH flat out!
1980 Mazda 626 Super Deluxe Coupe`, 5 speed manual, nice car & looked really cool in 1980. But I needed more room.
so
1983 Mazda 626 SE hatch, 5 speed manual, Australian Wheels magazine "Car of the Year". Spent 4 hours detailing it on the weekend. Still drive it with 510,000 KM on it but will be sold to good home after delivery of my MCS in November.
1970 Australian Chrysler Valiant Pacer hardtop. 3 speed auto. Bought as a 40th Birthday restoration project car. Looks really hip with it's "Thar she Blue" paint & GT stripes.
1970 Australian Chrysler VIP V8. 3 speed auto, also bought as a 45th birthday restoration project. Fantastic Aussie classic cruiser, with American influences. Both Chryslers still owned.
November 2004 Mini Cooper S Chilli, with JCW option.
1974 Volvo 164E - Great first car until it was rear ended while waiting for pedestrians to cross the road.
1989 Volvo 240GL Sedan - Was my daily driver for eight years up until last friday. Sold it to my buddy with 342,000 miles on the clock. I'm glad it will still get some love,
1961 Austin Healey Sprite - My graduation present to myself after college. An absolute joy to drive. Plan on keeping it for a long time.
1963 Porsche 356B - Restoration project that never came to be. Sold it to my father in order to afford the Cooper. At least it stays in the family.
1983 Volvo 240 Turbo Wagon - Picked this up at an auction for dirt cheap. Will make a nice hauler and winter beater when the Cooper hybernates.
2005 MINI Cooper S - Just got it last weekend. Almost 1,000 miles on it already. Going to Memphis this weekend. Hope it's as durable as my Volvos because I plan on keeping it for a long time.
My father has some toys that I drive constantly as well:
1977 Porsche 930 - Difficult to master. But very satisfying when you do get it right.
1972 Datsun 240Z - So easy to drive hard. Does everything you want it to and doesn't bite back.
1969 Land Rover Series IIA - A restoration project that we've been milking for three years now. It should be a nice change of pace with all the sports cars around.
You have reached ScottyB, I'm not here at the moment, but please leave a message, I'll try to get back to you in a timely fashion... yeah I know it sounds a stretch - but trust me!
Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2.0 (Unreliable as anything, but as a first car when everyone else had Novas and Metros, well cool and fast!)
MG Montego 2.0 Turbo (Don't knock it till you've tried it - never had so much fun and just loved that turbo lag)
MG B GT (Not exactly practical as I was based in the wild north of Scotland at the time)
Rover Sterling (Probably my all-round favourite car, everything just seemed right for me. Was getting a bit tatty towards the end though)
MG MGF 1.8 (First ever brand new car - lost out to the patter of tiny feet though)
MG ZT 190+ (Will miss this when it goes to be replaced by my MCS in October, but it's 3 years old now and it doesn't make sense running a "big" car as well as the Disco.)
Land Rover Discover Series 2 TD5 (After 18 months I can't imagine life without a Disco. Can't wait till a few years time when the prices of second hand Series 3s come into my reach.)
The Alfa was probably the only bad one amongst that lot, but I don't regret having it as it was so much cooler than the average first car. I'm happier to own up to that than I would be to say my first car was a Fiesta 1.0 or something like that.
