I have owned the following cars - in this order:

• Fiat Uno - 1 litre
• Fiat Uno turbo - 164bhp (Max Power featured )
• Fiat Punto - 1 litre
• MR2 roadster (lovely car! best roadster you can get for the money IMO)
• Renault Clio 1.4 dynamique + (not so lovely)
• Mini Cooper S - my present car - which I love

I was going to get a VX220 instead of the MCS but after a test drive I decided it was jsut too impractical for where I live . I think the MCS is a good all round car - plenty of mods still to come too.

All of which are fantasticly built cars (especially the Polo which never, ever went wrong) but neither compares to my S for the driving experience.

I agree with the VX220 comment. Apart from the insurance company not wanting to touch me on a VX220 Turbo, I decided I wanted a car with a better interior than the average garden shed. Still, drive the VXT and you'll fall in love with it.

86 Dodge Lancer ES Turbo - money pit, not reliable, huge turbo lag.
88 Celica GT - 8 + years of reliable service, never left me stranded. Slower than slow, but will NEVER sell it.
91 Dodge Stealth RT Twin Turbo - Fun, great handling car. Amazing acceleration 300hp stock, modded to 350+ - Gas guzzling money pit that cost major $$$ in maintenance.Overengineered by mitsubishi.

-'04 MINI Cooper S. - So far outstanding. No complaints.
