Offline | 2005 Rear Fog Not Available as Dealer Option So maybeI missed something here...but wasn't the rear fog supposed to be available in the US as a dealer installed option? My MA tells me today that it's not available period. Anyone have some concrete info? Also, if it's not available...anyone got an idea of what could replace that hideous black block-off plate? Thanks, Dave & Stacy "Sideways at 80 mph through the woods. Offline | weird. the rear fog light was a must for me (just need all those switches where they should be) and my MA had said they would be able to install it in about a month from when I picked up my car. Haven't called back yet to have it scheduled, but I guess I'll have to follow up... |

Offline | Yeah, my MA said that they received word from Mini that this is no longer an option about a week ago. Utter crap if you ask me. Now I have to find a six toggle panel to install. I hate having one empty space. I have to admit after all the problems we've had with the delivery of our car...I'm a little skeptical. I'm starting to get a little ![]() ![]() ![]() ed...but I'm sure that will change when we pick our MCS up tomorrow. "Sideways at 80 mph through the woods. Offline | Hmmm - I asked just this week about that and haven't received a reply.....but.....you could simply have a rear fog and switch set sent over from England and install it yourself. Peter In a fog in Denver |

Offline | Is this retaliation for our petition of last year? I thought only California/Oregon dealers were going to be problematic. Perhaps they're punishing me specifically, as I was vocal about the omission. Seems like it given I moved from Oregon to CA. Was planning on going to Washington or Vegas to get it installed as I plan on driving my MINI in more than just CA and OR. And NO, I'm not really that paranoid. I just have to point that out in case they're watching me. ![]() |

Offline | If it's retaliation, their punishing the whole US. We're purchasing ours in MN. So, how would we go about purchasing a kit from england? Just email a dealer over there? How hard is the kit to install? -Dave & Stacy "Sideways at 80 mph through the woods. Offline | In another thread I believe it was stated that the wires for the rear fog are already in place - one only needs to install the lamp and the switch...others with more immediate knowledge can perhaps verify this. If indeed I cannot get it from Schomp I can have a friend send it over for me...if you have no personal contacts - of course we all have dozens of contacts just here on the board that might be willing to help - a dealer or aftermarket supplier in the U.K. who advertises on the boards might be willing to help. There has to be a way...and we are motivated! Peter Who, with regard to motivation, points out that there is hardly ever fog in Denver. |

Offline | I'll help!! Hi Guys, I'm more than happy to send over items from the UK. I have two MINI dealerships nearby and work just down the road from the Post Office so it won't be a problem. Richard. ![]() |

Any thoughts on this??? Gotta run. -Dave & Stacy "Sideways at 80 mph through the woods.
