Lost Keys

Has anyone else been stupid enough to lose their Mini's key? The key of my JCW S was thrown out by the cleanup squad after my birthday party and never seen again. I'm now the using the spare which is a pain as it doesn't have remote operation and the alarm goes off unless you stick the keys in the ignition on opening.

How much is a new key? (I'm almost scared to ask my dealer)

I read in a post last week that the Key with the alarm button was £75

I read all this and called dealer - £65 plus VAT. The keys were on a Mini Mania S key ring that cost £22, so some muppet brought me a bottle of wine for a fiver and has cost me £90!

I take it you're from the South - afraid I'm a big Nordie. I have a CR/W MCS JCW with bonnet stripes - how much are they in Euro Land?

Yeah i'm in the South. Standard they are 29,000(05 model, 04 for 28) Euro, then 3000 for chilli pack, 3000 for sat nav and a few other extras and we up past 350000 Euro. Then if you want JCW its another 6000 Euro.
They are very expensive in the South but worth it
