Mini Trade -In?

hi all

i have a lovley Mini One, and love it. yet constantly reading on this site i always feel soemething for the Cooper or even the New S.
the reason i have a one is due to the insurace, as being 18 its very hard to justify the large amounts of money they want for insurance, thus i would like to get some "feedback" on trading in the mini lets say in a couple of years. or selling one? anyone know on depreciation of the mini, and also BMW status on Trading up?

thanks all

Love the site!!!!

lololol minicool

i just asked this the other day, nevermind

anyways i'm hoping or finking about trading in my cooper for an S at the end of the year- sure insurance is gonna be a killer but we only live once eh? i recently had a trade in quote against a honda, and at 3 months and 3000 miles the car had lost £2500 already!

i'm not sure wot it will be like in another year or two but i guess it will hold much better than anything else similar e.g a v corsa

oh i've never sold a car privately before so i wouldn't really know wot to do there but i guess u would always get more that way than trading it in, though if your finking about trading in u would always get more from your bmw dealer than anywhere else cos thats where u bought it from (i fink!)

hope i've helped a little- i'm extremely bored at the moment anyway

You'd do better selling it privately rather than through your dealer. For the coopers for example, you can actually get more than you paid for, if you know where to sell, cos of the waiting list. Crazy. Remember, the dealer wants to make a profit on the cars they buy from you, they will then sell it at a price which other people will be willing to pay for, so skip the middle man!
