I believe someone reported in another thread that the ad appeared in this month's issue of Playboy. I have yet to check it out myself. I wouldn't mind getting a copy just for that ad
The sticker ad is not in the June edition of Playboy. There is a different ad that mimics the playmate centerfold with foldout picture, "ambitions," "turn-ons," "turn-offs," etc. It also has suggestions for good MINI drives. Nor is there any lengthy write-up about the MINI. In fact, there is more written about the Hyundai Tiburon. And no, there are no women draped over the MINI either. Of course, I have no firsthand knowledge of any of this. It's just, you know....what I've heard .
The cost of my son's university education has blown away my dream of having my own MINI anytime soon. And my car was to be built on May 10, now somebody else will be driving it.
Aside from the machine being nearly everything I ever wanted in a car, I love the whole sense of humor and fun that surrounds it. The stuff on the back of that sticker is precisely the kind of joke that priggish twits in positions of authority censor (or smilify), because they are sure someone somewhere is mortally offended by a joke they don't understand. My great fear is that corporate MINI will "grow up" before I can get one.
Bah! Get your MINI and make him pay for his own education Heck, let him take a spin it every once awhile and he'll probably be happy with the situation! =P
