5 seater?
Dear all,
this is my first question to the group!
Mini's specs clearly define it as a four-seater.
Is there any way/option it can "become" a five-seater?
Please comment/advice.
Thanks in advance.
Chris.

A small child will fit nicely in the boot.

Even calling it a 4 seater is a bit of a stretch for all practical applications.

You can strap a couple of small children to the roof if you buy the proper roof rack.

I've got a new marketing idea, then.
Child seats for the roof rack.
Any investors?

It can only take two in the back as there are only two seatbelts. It is wide though so unbelted you could fit 3 across but that's illegal in the UK so not advisable - where are you based ?

What - they fit someting like 37 people in one - where is that thread...
Now I wouldn't want to drive wiht more than 4 on a regular basis, but I could see 3 in front, 3 in back, and one in boot for a mile or 2...

You have to turn the seats so they face rearwards otherwise you spend ages picking the flies out of the kids' teeth.

As I think may have been pointed out above, the rear seats are split by a large hump and the seat belt anchorage points, so you cant get three on the "bench" like in some cars.

Not advisable perhaps, but I had five in the car the other day, including four 6 foot plus blokes. It can be done if needs must!
