Did you buy (or plan to buy) or lease your Mini? I'm curious to find out. I myself would likely lease my Mini but I'm not 100% sure yet. The teething pains of a first year model is what's driving me towards a lease. Please respond to this poll. Thanks.
I'm worried about repair costs of the MINI when out of warranty so I'm just leasing it for the period of its warranty. It is cheaper to buy if you intend to keep it forever but if you don't want to do that, leasing can be easier to return the car (than selling or trading in) if you keep it in good shape and know how many kms you'll be using.

What is being quoted for residual percentage on the leases? I think the MINI will have a good trade-in after two years - a lease may be a bad deal if they plan on typical depreciation.

The residual value on a base Cooper with metallic paint is 64% on a 3 year lease.
Residual = $ 11,040.00 (from $ 17,250.00 X .64)
I'll probably lease my Mini. It was just built the other day (May 8). From the threads I've read, it appears that the xenon lights may have been deleted. I'll find out from the dealer and if so, I'll ask for a credit/rebate.
