About 10 years ago I used to do pushbike road racing.
Me and some mates were pulled by a cop in a village for doing 40 in a 30!!!??

Apparently he had been following us when we sprinted for a road sign (first past the road sign won sort of thing).

Some times speed cameras flash even when there is no film in the camera Its supposed to act as a warning

I think they're starting to use networked digital cameras, so this will not be a problem for the police anymore.
