Factory Visit

Our local BMW garage organized a factory visit-14 cars went, which took place today. A very interesting and worth while day had by all.

The only down side was our cars were hanging by the time we arrived due to the mad weather

If anyone here hasn't been to see these car's built, and would like too,please make arrangements, the tour guides are very knowledgeable

The girl that gave my group the tour said that the box that is near the muffler was the supercharger.....|

But the tour itself is really awesome, there is nothing like having sparks hit your goggles.

Yeah these tours are great. I've organised 2 now with another one planned for early next year (If anyone's interested let me know).

I think it should be made law that as a MINI owner a factory tour should be compulsory

Did you get the Italian girl then on your tour asmjica?

No she was definetly not italian.

I´ve been trying to find out when my Mini was built to see if it was there during the time I was on the tour.

I emailed the plant yesterday asking about the tour and they told me that they have room for 17 Jan 05. I plan on going.....the more the merrier.

Hey Scooby,

I'd love to go. If the next available day is 17th Jan onwards then it'll be a week or so too late to see my car on the production line as he arrives soon....yippee. Getting very excited now.
