Offline | wing mirror cap thief Watch out there's a thief about in or around the Harlow, Essex area who wants a set of shiny black wing mirror caps for Christmas. In fact they didn't want just any old set, they wanted mine and so they stole them. Now we all know that Coopers and the "S" come with the shiny black caps so, we now all know that some hero with a ONE has now removed their old matt black jobbies and got a nice shiny set. Probably the most irratating thing about it is that looking at the damage to the wing mirror bodies, the brainless hero didnt know how to remove them and as such has obviously damaged them and so may not use them anyway. Still, I will be on the lookout for a ONE with nice black shiny caps so I can congratulate them personally on their choice. Was a 1, now 1 of 150 in a 40 |

Offline | When I changed my black shiny ones for Chrome at BMW, I wanted the black ones to sell but BMW said the design meant they snapped on and when pulled off the lugs break so you can't reuse them, so maybe they are not any good now anyway (no consolation but at least the theif may not have got any new mirror caps out of it). | The S stands for speed! | Why is it that people have no respect for other people's property. Ewww, look, I have a Mini logo! Morons! Are these the Mercedes emblems of today? I remember people in high school with Mercedes emblems on their key rings and you know that they did NOT have one. So they thought they were cool by cutting them off of other peoples cars. Leave our cars alone! Motor on |

Offline | As mikey says, they easily clip on/off its just a matter of using the "Spoon" method so you don't damage the mirror body itself. As a bit of an update, I ordered a new set from the local dealer, £50 plus vat, trouble was he didn't listen and so ordered standard matt black caps. So I now have to wait while they order the correct set Far more annoying is that my daughter bought, only 1 week ago, a Clio. Metallic Gold and unmarked. A person went round the car and put about 10 small dents in it simply because they didn't like it parked there. Unfortunately with no witnesses I can only be in his face about it. This was not a young thug, but a pensioner who has nothing else going on in his life but to worry about a car parked in a layby. With all thats going on in the world today, it just goes to prove that small minded people still exist. Was a 1, now 1 of 150 in a 40 |

Offline | OMG! We'd better hope that this isn't the start of logo nicking. In the uk when i was at school (80's - a FINE era!), there were absolutely no volkswagens in the area with a badge on them. Just masses of cars with a funny sort of hole in the grill, and scratched paint work at the back where they'd ripped the boot badge off. Makes my blood boil. Nothing but after after and more s!
