United-Kingdom Mid life crisis

Hi Guys, great forums and fantastic answers to some of the questions. I'm a 33 year old entering a mid life crisis and have just part exed my peugeot 406 coupe se for an MCS. Spec below:
Dark silver , black roof, chrome inside and out, chilli pack, sat nav, visibility pack, black leather, heated seats, tinited glass, i-mob security system, cd player.

Does this sound good, would anyone be interested in seeig photos when it is delivered? Am I the only person here to have part exed a big car for a new mini?

Welcome to MINI2 Jacko.

Best get the mid life crisis in early (at the age of 33) than wait until you're 40 and have to do it at the last minute and spoil it by having to rush it!

The 406 coupe was a nice car (we used one as our wedding car a few weeks before it was officially launched), but it was never that much fun to drive. You will find the MCS a complete antidote. You're going to love it.

Please post photos ASAP.

Have a few rep points, just to get you started!

Tigger.

PS The MINI is the first small car I've used in 23 years! Own previous transport based around Citroen XM estates, Volvo V70's, Peugeot 406 estates etc.

You have given me hope

Hi Tigger, thanks for your reply! At least I am not the only one. My wife is a little concerned that I have made a huge mistake but I shall show her your reply to convince her!.
If you get a chance could you please explain the rep system to me as I am new, thank you for the points anyway!

Happy New Year to you

Sorry, but I think you are far too young to be claiming mid-life crisis!

As the proud 40+ owner of a MC Cabrio, I have found that I now have a split personality - on the one hand there are those who feel that I am now officiallt in mid-life crisis mode, and those who regard it as a definite sign of youth, vim and vigour. So I am either sad, or a stud!! For those who know me - take your pick!!

So enjoy your new MCS, but no more talk about mid-life crisis, OK?

Enjoy!!!!

Ian

Happy New Year to you

you press the 'R' logo top right if you agree with a persons post. This gives them 'rep points' (the green dots below the persons avtar on the left of the screen) - the more green dots = more rep. So you can judge who's postings people agree with/like as they should have more green dots. Check out Frequently asked Q's for more details on it.

Welcome to M2

not a bad spec Jacko, I would add in Multi Function Steering Wheel, an essential toy

Also if this is a midlife crisis I recommend going for a more striking colour such as red or hyper blue, DS is a bit too account midlife crisis

Oh yes, the steering wheel

Hi Rakey, sorry, forgot to mention that I do have the steering wheel in my spec, have you any experience of the i-mob security system. My local dealer told me all about it and I have ordered it with my car.

Happy new Year to you!

Not heard of it, but if you click on the seach function there might be something on MINI2 about it. Then if not I would check out aftermarket systems before signing up to a MINI system as prices are normally very inflated A good person to speak to would be Mikey the MINI

Now back to colour, your not an accountant are you?

I will do a search for the i-mob, thanks for your help.
Left you some rep points.

Way too early for Mid Life Crisis, and I'll tell you what , Its all in the mind .

Just keep being a kid and play as much as you can, thats what keeps you going, the minute you stop playing, thats when you suddenly become 'OLD'.
Ther is nobody on MINI2 that I've met who is old in themselves (except for Soggy perhaps ), just in years, and thats not important.

Good choice of spec and car BTW, hope you enjoy it as much as I will mine when it arrives.

I've got a One on temporary loan at the moment and that makes me grin as have all the previous Coopers etc.

Roll on 'S' ownership

You've just overlooked the bonnet stripes, that's all. You can't have a proper mid-life crises without bonnet stripes

I have to agree with Rakey, you need to look at that colour again! Dark silver is very serious.

Jacko

I am sure you will both love the MINI. They are so much fun. I am actually a serial MINI buyer and the Cooper I have at the moment is my fourth and is my wife's pride and joy.
I sold my JCW S about six months ago and miss it badly.....be prepared to be seriously affected by this car
