Do you think Pepper White/Black is getting just too popular? Color Confusion :-{

I had been leaning towards a Purple w/White Roof & Mirrors (or checked mirrors)
w/the possibility of White Wheels.
Maybe a Chrome Exterior, wasn't sure yet...and definitely Xenons & a sunroof,
altho' I don't prefer the white roof w/a black sunroof in the middle.
But, I do want a sunroof now after much advice/wisdom gained from here.

Now, I'm torn also BIG-TIME & considering a Pepper White with Black Roof & either Black Mirrors or Chrome (as I"d be getting the Chrome Exterior)
Would not get Xenons, as I like the more 'old-fashioned' look of non-Xenons w/this more retro/classic color. (altho' purple can be retro too)

Overall, the car looks a bit more retro in White to me....and the sunroof hides nicely in the Black Roof.
The Purple White Combo seems a bit more 'playful' & sporty in feel, particulary w/Xenon headlights which sort of pop & sparkle from such a face on the car.

Getting a regular Cooper, btw.
No bonnet vent, for instance.

Still completely flummoxed by interior choices that would go best w/either of these exteriors....just know I'm not doing leather.
Also, flummoxed big-time by the wheel/tire choice. Also, those decisions can wait for another thread. I'll post on the Exterior Thread re: the Wheels.

However, posting this here, as it seems fairly general, altho' also exterior-related.
Thanks so much in advance for your feedback.
I'm soooooo confused now & need to order this week. Have no real car, right now...
lines are backing up for these babies! :-)
Have a great week, everyone!!

Oops! Meant to include...

that I've heard the Pepper White is getting really popular in Calif.

Just don't want a car everyone else has.
It's makes it seem a bit less 'special' esp. since these are Coopers which pride themselves on their individuality. Yes, I could make it more 'mine' w/unusual additions, but w/White, I'd like to stay pretty traditional & classic.
That color just brings that out in me, vs. Purple where I might even go w/checkered mirrors.

Help!!

Have you seen the Purple in the flesh?

I was in a real dilemma about what colour I would order and BEP/W was top of my list after drooling at all the photos in the galleries. However I was advised by many on this site to see it in the flesh and I really wasn't impressed. Sorry to all you BEP owners!! I managed to see a BEP/W and an all BEP MINI ONE last week at the dealers. I too like the retro look therefore CR/W is top of my list at the moment especially after gazing at the attached photo...

I see alot of Minis in Florida and can't remember the last time I saw a PW one. Might have been at the dealers.

Most important is to get the color you like the most.

What good is getting a color no one else has if you hate it?

All the ones I see are Silver and Black. I'm so unspecial . Never see any pepper white ones. Black/while - only a few too.

ive only seen 1 or 2 pepper white minis in ireland, people here are too boring, they always go for boring colours like dark silver and silver! personally i would love a bright colour but i still like mine (dark silver with black roof). my advice is go for something bright and contrasting!

Thanks for your wonderful feedback...the choices grow!

Yikes! You won't believe what I did today.
Yes, a deposit is down, but unfortunately w/more 'consequences' than usual.

I can get a refund, but this place is more 'strict' re: changes.
Is that bogus? Perhaps.
But, for a build time one month earlier than other dealerships (Feb...3rd week, I think)
I may be willing to accept the "hand-tying" ... I just don't know. :-\

Will start a new thread, titled: "The Plot Thickens"
as the color decision has changed, again, it seems.
And, help! I'm so nervous now that we gave a deposit & I only have a few days
allowed for making changes. The pressure is even WORSE now.

I appreciate your patience thus far with me.
I hope I'm not the first Cooper newbie to need assistance & advice like this?!
Forgive me, if I am.
Have a good week, everyone. (and wish me luck!) ;-)

Why not go for a custome TARTAN paintjob?? Not only will very few worldwide MINI owners have a tartan paintjob (if you do please post pics!) but you can get every color you are considering in a tasteful yet classic look!!!

Hello there!

yes it's definitely getting more common - all I ever seem to see is PW MINI's!

But I'm sticking with mine for a while - done red and blue already but white is the best!

I'm relieved that PW/B is getting more common in the UK - shows people are getting over the traditional white car syndrome and therefore residuals should be good.

I've just ordered a PW/B Cooper to replace my poorly Black / White Cooper which the dealer and BMW have kindly agreed to buy back off me. I even get a build slot released as its replacing a faulty car so it should be here by the end of Jan.

Of course, you'll tend to notice the PW if you're thinking about it...
We do that all the time - notice more MINIs while driving the MINI, more Beetles when driving the Beetle.

I've seen three other PW/B in Atlanta since we got our car (one on campus where we work - ack! who drives it!?) and two PW/PW cars. All but one had red/black seats, which we don't like. In the meantime, we've seen about a billion CR, bunches of DS (saw two today), etc. It still isn't all that common here.
As an aside, we got the black/silver cloth sport seats and think they look great. In retrospect, I may have ordered the chrome exterior. Two of the other PW/B MINIs I've seen here have had it and it looks really good.

Something else that's weird: in other cars, if you see one just like yours you park as far away from it as you can. In the MINI you try and park next to it (and find out who owns it). It suddenly becomes a little MINI community, not a style infraction.
