so, how many times have you cleaned your mini this week?:)

been twice already for me .. in and out.. 4 hours a time. yesterday, while getting my wife from work, a street was full of water which made my nice clean cooper all dirty .. i just had to wash it again today .. and that is after spending 5 hours on sunday heheh

will probably have to do it again Friday ... i hate cleaning the car, but I hate driving a dirty one more and i wont let anyone else touch it ..

anyone else here as fanatic about keeping their cooper clean?

I usually only take about 2 hours to clean it, I only bother with the outside at the moment, because the inside is still nice and clean cos its so new!
I usually scrub each wheel hard, that takes about an hour, I then scrub down the rest of the car, completely soaking it, then I leave it for 20~30 minutes, come back, re wet it all a little, cleaning/drying it gently with a towel and then drying it off and polishing it with a cloth.

PS A much more relaxing thread than that 'other' one!

yeah the inside is still clean and "new" .. even has that "new smell" i like.. but as i have full leather and as its VERY sunny, I wanted to put on some high-quality leather cleaning stuff which has a sun block on it .. so that the leather keeps in good shape.. while doing that, i ended up going through the whole inside.. .

the outside takes me a long time.. the white alloy are a REAL pain in the neck to clean .. they look divine, but keeping them clean is going to be a REAL issue in the long run .. they get dirty super fast. i dont regret it though .. the car looks so much better with white alloy in my opinion

I do mine once a week at the weekend. That's the only chance I get as I have to go round to my folks to use their hosepipe. I can't be running back and forth to my flat with a bucket every five minutes can I
The only "touching up" during the week is when birds sh*te on it. And that seems to be very often
My cosmos black and white roof is obviuosly good target practice
Do the rest of you bother cleaning the insides of your alloys or just the bits you can reach?

the last weeks whe often had rain but I can say that a chilired MINI also looks good when dirty - so normally I wash´m once the week by handwash, drying with a carleather,
wiping the windows and conserving the black plastic arches and bits - takes 2 hours.
Most time takes removing the rests of flys on bonnet and bumper and waxing this parts afterwards with non polishing stuff..

Yes, because the 5-Stars are easy to clean, I try to do this also at the inner side as long as they new ;-)
