Fans come on even when car is cold

Whenever I start my 2004 Mini CVT the fans come on even though the car is cold and the coolant has not reached a warm temperature. I have other cars that only let the fans turn on gradually as the engine warms up. Is this normal for the car or should I have it checked out at the dealer.

If the A/C is activated, the radiator fan will be on as the condenser requires airflow regardless of ambient temperature. Is your snowflake illuminated?

fans on all the time

i own an '03 MC and the fans are on all the time. the snowflake light is off and the fan cones on even before the car is heated up, a constant blast of cold air. i also own an '05 MCC and the fan does not come on until the car is heated up. what can be the difference between the two models? i guess i should contact my service center.

If you have the dial set at 0 (manual climate), then you should be all right. Close the vents to help with this as well.
