Question Extended Maintenance

Has anyone purchased the extra year of maintenance (extended maintenance)? If so, how much did you pay. If not, why not?

Actually I'm talking about the "prepaid maintenance". I think it was discussed in the warranty booklet. It may also be a US only feature. The default is 3-years, 36,000 miles of included scheduled maintenance with an option to extend it to 4 years, 50,000 miles. This is not the same thing as the warranty.

I think your talking about MINI TLC

In the UK it's 5 years/50,000 miles for £100.00

This gives you free servicing for the said period.

Or am I just being a thick Geordie B@$#@&d

Its not big but its definitely clever

The extened warranty should be available in the U.K soon apparently.
Probably abouts the same as a 3 series so maybe £300ish

MINIUSA owners lounge shows 4 year, 50,000 mile warranty with roadside assistance as standard. Full scheduled service for 3 years and six year, unlimited mile rust, corrosion warranty also included.

Log on to owners lounge and click My MINI then Warranty.

I do not think that we have TLC in Canada? The dealer never mentioned it when I bought the car.

Our Cinci dealer offered, actually pushed, the extended maintenance, and said it would cover the big 50,000 mile checkup which is $500. The cost for the maintenance plan is $371, but noone could tell us what is included in the big checkup other than an aditional oil change (which, BTW, is $120!!) We haven't decided yet whether to buy it. You have until 3 yrs/36,000 miles to purchase it.
No one offered an extended warranty.
