here we go. 5 days later, and 1000 miles done. my only regret is that it was 10:01 rather than 10:00 and i wasn't able to get another 1 mile in 1 minute done

I sat here staring at your pics trying to figure out what was 'different' about your car. How did you manage to get a tach in the center of your dash?? My speedo is located there, and my tach is on top of the steering column. I've always been under the impression that Minis w/o navigation and w/o chrono would be set up like mine. Are the minis out there different than the ones in the US?

MINI's in Australia which have the tacho in the centre and speedo on top of the steering column to meet country regulations I think.
